In the Name of God Amen.

I John (omission mark; written in the margin: Perch of) Orpington in the County of Kent Gentleman being in Good Health and of Sound and perfect mind and memory praised to God for the same but well knowing the Brevity and uncertainty of this Life do therefore make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say First and Principally I commit my Soul to God who Created it hopeing for Salvation thereof only by and through the precious Merits and Satisfaction of my blessed Redeemer Jesus Christ And my body I commend to the Earth to be decently buried According to the discrecion of my loveing Nephew Richard Perch Son of my Brother Robert Perch at Keston aforesaid near unto my Relacons there And I do make constitute and Appoint him my said Nephew Richard Perch to be Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament desiring him to performe the Same carefully And as for my Worldly Goods estate and Lands which God of his great Mercy hath bestowed upon me in this World I do give and dispose thereof in manner and forme following that is to say First I do give and bequeath to the poor people that Shall be inhabitants of the said parish of Orpington at the time of my death the Sume of ten shillings And Also I do give unto the poor people Then Inhabitants of Keston aforesaid the like Sume of ten shillings to be distributed to and amongst them severally by my said Executor within One Month next after my decease And I do Will and Order my said Executor to lay a decent Tombstone upon my Grave and All the rest and remainder of my Goods Cattle Chattels Leases plate ready money bonds Bills Securities for money debts and personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever after my debts Legacyes and Funeral expences Shall be all fully paid and Satisfied I do give and bequeath unto my Nephew and Executor Richard Perch for his own use benefit and behoofe (if any shall be remaining) And for the better enabling of him my said Nephew Richard perch his Heires Executors and *** to pay and Satisfye All my accts Legacyes and Funeral charges and upon the Same Condicon I do give and devise unto my said Nephew Richard Perch and to his Heires and Assignes for ever All thaose my new built Messuages or Tenements with their Appurtences Scituate lying and being in London Street in the parish of East Greenwich in the said County of Kent and all the Courts Yards Gardens Buildings Backsides and Appurtenies to them or any of them belonging or in any wise appertaining chargeable with the payment of All my debts Legacyes and Funerall charges which my personal estate shall not reach to pay and satisfye Item I do give and devise unto him my said Nephew Richard perch and to his Heires and Assignes for ever All that my Messuage Farme and Lands and Woodgrounds with the Appurtences which I lately purchased to me and my Heires of Sr George Rivers now in my own and Robert Carkotts Severall Occupacons Scituate lying and being in Brasted or elsewhere in the aid County of Kent Nevertheless chargeable with the payment of my debts Legacyes and Funeral expences which my personal estae shall not reach to pay and Satisfye And lastly I do hereby revoake and make void all other and former Wills by me heretofore made And I do hereby appoint this to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my Hand and Seale dated this Seventh day of Aprill in the Twelfth Year of the raigne of our Severaigne Lady Anne by the Grace of Great Britaine France and Ireland Queen Defender of the Faith Anno dni One Thousand Seven Hundred and Thirteen John Perch Signed Sealed published and declared by the said (omission mark: written in margin: John) Perch for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who Subscribed our Names as Witnesses in his presence at his request Elizabeth Hodsoll John Hodsoll Frs.
